Nigel Bridges

Nigel Bridges


Nigel is an experienced executive and advisor with a successful track record of growing technology businesses internationally. His key focus is on the Scale-Up stage of Software and Services businesses, transforming them through a clear agreed strategy, designing and delivering robust sales, delivery and operational processes to provide the platform for transformation and growth.

Nigel has worked at senior leadership level in both larger corporates and SMEs; and has been the CEO of a number of high-growth technology and services companies including Brains Direct / Endava, DTM, and Whitespace before co-founding Beaconsoft.

Stewart Boutcher

Technology Director / CTO

Stewart has worked in the technology sector at Project Manager & Board level across a range of technical organisations since 1995. Stewart has much experience working for and within agencies, leading the delivery of coherent, measured digital strategies from the software layer upwards, incorporating modern channels such as social media, mobile applications and the use of Augmented Reality & Big Data for informed BI.

Stewart is a technologist at heart focused on delivery of game-changing digital projects, including being digital lead for the nationally important UK Police Memorial. Within Beacon, Stewart takes the Technology Director role, responsible for the technology delivery of the Beacon vision.

Mike Townend

Mike Townend


Mike’s focus has always been on the strategic marketing and business development aspects of technology-focused businesses. He has performed senior management roles with software and professional services organisations globally, driving the marketing strategy and developing multi-country propositions. His key strengths are in marketing strategy, proposition building, sales-lead business development, and building and managing networks of business partners.

Mike is equally comfortable working with a start-up business as he is with corporates. He has acted in a consulting capacity to a mix of new and growing smaller companies including a mobile music app business, a multi-channel home delivery service, a property development and management company, and a public relations agency.

John Farthing

Director & CFO

Before and during university John freelanced in computer programming for small businesses which is where his mix of business and technology started. John then qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1988 following which he moved across to stockbroking, gaining significant experience with start-ups and smaller company PLCs.

Highly connected in the City and with experience acting for both UK listed as well as private companies, John is responsible for all financial aspects of Beacon and contributes to strategy. John is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of World Traders.

Greg Chabrier

VP Business Development, North America

Greg is a senior Sales and Business Development executive with extensive achievements in all forms of revenue generation, market positioning, initial market penetration, channel strategy, and revenue operations for technical products. Cutting his teeth in business development roles at companies including Sun Microsystems, HAL Computer Systems, Calico technologies, Selectica Software and VA Linux, Greg has executive level experience in sales leadership, team growth, expansion, and development.

Greg heads up the North America business for Beacon.
